Desperado Pier

10th October

50/15

Had a bit of a surf at the pier, waves were in the 1/2ft and very sloppy range but the tides was super low and there was a bit of a wedge into the pier which I sat on. Gary was out... longboarding! I was quite happy on my lovely 5'10 which I still think if there is a wave which is surfable I can surf it on this baby! who needs longboards :-) Ok it was a bit of desperado surf but it was warm and I have not surfed since last Friday......

  1. Hello Ben!
Just popping in to tell you that i enjoy your blog a lot!
I recently started to learn surfing -been to Saunton Sands three times- so needless to say I'm crap at it and sometimes don't understand the half of what you're talking about but still i find your posts very interesting. :)
Thank you for sharing, I hope to see much more from you!

  2. Thanks Adam for your nice comment, I started this blog as a diary to remember my French trip but friends kept telling me they enjoyed reading it and I enjoyed writing it so it has grown! It is nice to know that somebody I don't know is enjoying it. Keep up the surfing it is the best thing you could ever do, it wont be long and you will understand what I'm talking about.

    Thanks Ben

  3. Hi Ben. I'd echo adams comments. I'm a surf boys mum and love the sea myself so have enjoyed reading your blog. Also boscombe is our closest surf beach so will be interesting to see what you say about it as we haven't had much luck ! Off to bude for few days over half term so fingers crossed for good waves. I will be body boarding as I'm rubbish at surfing but as long as I'm in the waves I'll be happy!!
